ABOUT UCBPA

Our charity is UCBPA Charities, Inc. and to date has provided over $110,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors in Union County.

We are a not for profit organization that meets monthly from noon until 1:00 p.m.

Our current president is Martin Shafer, owner of The Sign Guys. Our meetings offer entrepreneurs, small business owners, and professionals the opportunity to gather, share, and learn about business and community-related topics. Indviduals who share our mission are also welcome to join us.

Information regarding programs and speakers for upcoming meetings may be found under the CONNECT page of our website.

Community Involvement + Our History

We host these annual events:

  • Prayer Breakfast on Good Friday to benefit 5 nonprofit organizations

  • Scholarship Benefit Classic in June

  • Annual Banquet to honor the Man & Woman of the Year

From our founding, we have been actively working to grow opportunity in Union County. Our slogan,

"Growth through Giving"

was exemplified in our premier project, the establishment of Wilson Park. Over 110 members and citizens banded together to develop 15 wooded acres donated by Robert Johnson. UCBPA leveraged a Tennessee Parks and Recreation Grant with over $250,000 of cash and kind services to deliver a park that not only benefits the citizens of Union County, but also thousands from East Tennessee during Thunder in the Park and the Union County Heritage Festival.

We welcome ideas for projects that make Union County a better place to live, work, and play. Please contact us to share ideas and get involved.

Community Involvement

We invite you to meander through our first project being a park for Union County...

Wilson Park!

110 of our members came together with a donated piece of property that was pasture and wooded along with a matched grant from the state of TN to create this park.
