Dear Member,

Welcome to Union County Business & Professional Association membership. Our mission is to make Union County a better place to live, work, and play. Our monthly member meeting is at Hardee's at noon on the second Tuesday of each month except July. We invite you to become involved in one or more of our projects:

• Prayer Breakfast -- Besides the obvious benefits of prayer and words of inspiration, proceeds from the Prayer Breakfast fund donations to Lion's Club,  UCPS Music Department(s), 4H, and Union County Children Charities (Under the Tree). Come be a part of this celebration on Good Friday at 8:00am at the Union County Senior Center in Maynardville (cost $10)

• Scholarship Golf Tournament--We just completed our 22nd tournament this May. Since 1991, we have awarded nearly $80,000 in scholarships to help fund the college dreams of our graduating seniors.

• Candidate Forum-- During each election year the Candidate Forum helps inform our members and the public about candidates. Find out more on second Tuesday in July at the Union County Senior Center at noon.

• Veteran and Emergency Workers Tribute-- Our September meeting focuses on safety and honors veterans and emergency workers as we pay tribute to those who put their life on the line for our lives and freedom.

• KUCB Adopt-a Road-- For nearly 20 years we have been picking up litter from the Farmer's Co-op to just past Commercial Bank on Hwy33. We can always use some help each quarter as we attempt to keep this section of Union County beautiful.

• Annual Banquet--The first Saturday in November is the day we celebrate our accomplishments for the year. Mark the date and enjoy this event catered by Pete's and held at the Union County Senior Center. (cost $35).
